MIC offering RM3.2mil for Kg Buah Pala land

The MIC is willing to offer RM3.2 million if the Penang government can get back the land in Kampung Buah Pala, Bukit Gelugor from the developer.

MIC Youth chief T Mohan said the move was to enable the residents to continue living in the village. (read more)

MIC study aid for 240 not given PSD scholarships

The MIC has come to the rescue of about 240 Indians students who were unsuccessful in their application for Public Service Department (PSD) scholarship.

The MIC-owned Asian Institute of Medicine, Science and Technology (AIMST) in Semeling, Kedah would offer 200 places for them to pursue their foundation courses at the university, said MIC president Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu. (read more)

MIC president S Samy Vellu has made a surprise visit to Hindu Rights Action Force (Hindraf) national coordinator RS Thanenthiran, who has been hospitalised after suffering from a heart attack on Saturday.

No visit from Pakatan leaders

Thanenthiran is however bitter that no top leaders from the opposition Pakatan Rakyat had bothered to pay him a visit.

The malaysian indians denied MIC forever? that is a very subjective question. But more then 50% of them voted against it during GE-12. thats a fact. That caused MIC to loose their power/voice in almost all the state governments and it is forced to keep things rolling with only 3 parliament members and 3 cabinet reps.

Can they perform with much reduced power, representatives and support? Especially now, when the demands from rakyat is in the peak. Many predicted that MIC is yesterdays news. (READ MORE)

MIC, Malaysian Indian Congress, the symbol of malaysian indian unity. Thats what we used to hear , at least till last year. For most of malaysian indians, MIC was their true champion at least untill 2004 .Now, MIC is a 'punch bag' for many. Anything wrong with the community
blame it on MIC!!!???

Saya lihat banyak pihak lebih intrested dalam mengetahui apa tindakan MIC dalam hal ini. Hampir semua blog post pro-PR disertai dengan soalan "kenapa MIC berdiam diri?" , "Apa tindakan MIC", "Apa statement DSSV?".

Kesimpulan saya, semua pihak mengakui bahawa hal ini adalah tanggungjawab MIC. Mengakui yang MIC adalah suara yang mewakili masyarakat india di Malaysia.(more)
