Budget 2010: "1Malaysia, Together We Prosper"


Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has tabled Budget 2010 with the theme "1Malaysia, Together We Prosper". Totalling RM191.5 bil, he said it would be the foundation of a new economic model and precursor to the 10th Malaysia Plan. (more)

MIC study aid for 240 not given PSD scholarships

The MIC has come to the rescue of about 240 Indians students who were unsuccessful in their application for Public Service Department (PSD) scholarship.

The MIC-owned Asian Institute of Medicine, Science and Technology (AIMST) in Semeling, Kedah would offer 200 places for them to pursue their foundation courses at the university, said MIC president Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu. (read more)

Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak today distributed an RM80 million assistance package to Tamil schools, saying that it was not an by-election gimmick as it had been announced much earlier. (more)

Malaysia, the only country besides india, where tamil schools still survive. One of the strongest advocates of tamil education is the MIC. Pointing to the continued existance of the tamil school system as its achivement. If not for the MIC, there will not be any tamil schools. ( read more)

Economic package unveiled

The Government dialled down its projected gross domestic product (GDP) growth for 2009 from 5.4% to 3.5%, but said it would inject RM7bil to strengthen the economy and boost confidence within the private sector.

MALAYSIAKINI : RM50mil for Tamil schools: MIC says thanks

Human Resources Minister Dr S Subramaniam thanked the government and Deputy Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak for approving the MIC's request for a RM50 million allocation for Tamil schools under the stimulus package announced today.

WHAT MIC DOING???


Saya lihat banyak pihak lebih intrested dalam mengetahui apa tindakan MIC dalam hal ini. Hampir semua blog post pro-PR disertai dengan soalan "kenapa MIC berdiam diri?" , "Apa tindakan MIC", "Apa statement DSSV?".

Kesimpulan saya, semua pihak mengakui bahawa hal ini adalah tanggungjawab MIC. Mengakui yang MIC adalah suara yang mewakili masyarakat india di Malaysia.(more)

Pada pendapat saya, ini adalah satu case dimana seorang guru ( rakyat malaysia) menyerang seorang pelajar dan keluarganya ( rakyat malaysia) dengan kata- kata yang tidak sopan dan lucah. Ini jelas melanggar code of ethics seorang guru. Jadi apakah hukumannya?(more)

This time around Ministry of Finance has allocated another RM3million to train young Indians. Consultation on Educational Underachievers was a focus group analysis to Project PLUS 8 which is being carried out by YSS, the social wing of MIC, for under achieving students at 74 secondary schools throughout the country.

The objective of the programme was to discuss and chart out strategies to address the issues and concerns of academically underachieving students.
